The hinged lip plate is attached with a full-width seamless hinge and overlaps onto the trailer bed for a smooth, safe transition between the ramp and the truck. On ramps 102″ wide and over, the HD50 Series comes equipped with Adapt-A-Ramp’s four-piece hinged lip plate — giving you the flexibility to work with flatbed trailers, dry van trailers, and shipping containers.
The 10-foot upper level-off section provides a fully horizontal platform at the top of the ramp before the descent to ground level. This allows lift truck operators to exit the trailer in a stable, flat position — keeping the load clear of the trailer roof and reducing tipping risk before approaching the incline.
